SSSL Participation Form and Code of Conduct (word doc) 

All Swim Team swimmers must complete the SSSL (Seattle Summer Swim League) Participation Form/Code of Conduct before attending practice. Only one per family is required.  Forms are also available in the office.   

Welcome to Summer 2009!

We’re very excited for our teams this year at Arbor Heights. Our coaching staff is looking forward to a summer of “splish-splash” and “over-head smash” fun. Zac Hixson, long time Arb member, will be head coach for the swim team along with Arb graduates Kalli Salo and Lizzie Althauser as assistant coaches and senior swimmers David Scanlon and Robert Blatner as coach trainees. Returning to head our Dive Team this year will be Olympic Medal winning coach Kelly Robertson. For tennis, we welcome Tom Fillingim, currently the head JV coach at O’Dea High School and Holy Names Academy. Our Synchronized Swim head coach will be Brenna Greely. Our Water Polo Team will again be coached by Kami Schweiger. Teams at AH are definitely happening!

This year we again have team liaisons to help facilitate communication between the board, teams, coaches, and parents. Communication will be mostly by e-mail. Our liaison for swim is Heidi Arvish, dive is Cassandra Knox, water polo position is open, synchro is Angela Greene, and the tennis liaison is also open. Please feel free to contact them. We know they would appreciate willing volunteers to help them with the various “teams” activities this summer.

With the exception of the liaison positions, there are no volunteer fees for teams at Arbor Heights. This does not mean that we don’t need volunteers! This is a member run club and AH teams will only be successful if everyone pitches in. Each team has expressed the desire to have new equipment for their program. We will be able to accommodate these requests if everyone pitches in and does their part with concessions. There will be more information on this at each team’s parent meetings.

Finally, the SSSL is once again requiring that all swim team members complete a Code of Conduct and a Participation Form before June 10th. You will find one included in this packet or on the website under “teams”. Only one per family is required.

Please remember to fill out your Teams forms and pay your fees during the first week of practice. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
