Opening Day, register for Otters Club, team updates, and some helpful reminders!

Opening Day:  Saturday, May 10th

Doors will open to just members on Saturday, May 10th.  Please see our calendar for times.   At 5:30, we will have our annual “Opening Day BBQ.”  Burgers, Hot dogs, Sides will be provided.  Please bring drinks or a dessert to share.   RSVP by Wednesday May 7 if you plan to join us for dinner on Opening Day.

Otters Club Registration Open 

Registration is open for Otters Club –  a supervised activity program for youth team members age 8-12. Otters Club runs from 9 am to 1:30 pm on weekdays, and the program fee is $100 per week. Preregistration is required and space is limited to 25 participants each week. Email Chris at [email protected] with any questions.

Youth Teams

Swim practice starts on Monday May 12. We are thrilled to welcome back Head Swim Coach Chris Veraya and Assistant Coach Jojo Southwell, who will be joined this season by rookie assistant coaches Julia Bentler, Tyler Sunderland, and Addie Wisen.

Dive practice starts on Monday, May 19. We are excited to welcome back Olivia Shields as the Head Coach for Dive and new Assistant Coach Ben Leonardo.  Ben is from West Seattle and is a graduate from Kennedy Catholic High School.  He is in his 2nd year at Cal Poly SLO as a Psychology major and a minor in Neurobiology.  He is excited to coach at the Arb this summer! For those new to Dive, team suits is plain red or can be ordered online with custom Otters Logo here.

Team registration is open – participants must be registered before starting practice, so don’t delay!  Other useful links: practice schedule, season schedule on club calendar.

Just a couple of friendly reminders as we near the start of another great summer at the ARB!

  • No saving tables during weekend lap swim
  • To reserve 2-hour parties of up to 20 people, please call the front office starting May 10th @ 11 am

Team Registration is open, Youth AP Tennis Clinic, Otters Club, Opening Day, and Jobs

Dear Members,

We are so excited to kick off our summer season on Saturday May 15th.  In preparation for opening day, we have clean up this weekend, Saturday, May 3rd from 10am-1:00pm and Sunday, May 4th from 1-4pm.  If an adult member of your family works a minimum of three hours on either day, your clean up fee ($100 Family/ $50 senior) will be reimbursed.  Come prepared with gloves, gardening supplies, cleaning supplies, etc.

We look forward to seeing familiar faces and welcoming new members as another season begins at the Arb!

Spring Youth Tennis Opportunities 

Tennis players- a change for 2025 tennis team is that registration for spring and summer will be separate, to optimize players’ abilities and availability.

We are also offering a new Advanced Performance (AP) Tennis clinic series on Saturdays for intermediate to advanced level juniors wanting to refine their technique, strategy, and physical conditioning. Contact Chris at [email protected] for more information.

New Pilot Program: Otters Club

Working parents- wondering how to juggle morning team practice schedule, your job, plus keep your kids busy all day? Otters Club is a supervised activity program for youth team members age 8-12 that runs from 9 am to 1:30 pm on weekdays. The goal is for parents to be able to drop their kids off in the morning for the day, knowing their kids are safe, fed, active, and having fun with teammates and friends.

The price for Otters Club is $100 per week per participant. Preregistration is required and space in the program will be limited to 25 participants each week. Registration will open on May 5 at 9 am. For more information check the Otters Club page or email Chris at [email protected].

Hello AHSTC Members!

We are excited to see you this season.  Clean up days will be May 3 and 4 and opening day will be May 10.  Get ready for a great summer at the pool!

Dues statements are now available in Membersplash and dues must be paid by April 1.  We can accept credit card payments as well as checks.
You can mail a check to: Arbor Heights Swim and Tennis Club, PO Box 46432, Seattle WA 98146.

The 2025 dues invoices are now posted to your account. This year, dues increased 3% ($26 for family memberships and $13 for senior memberships) to keep up with inflation and the recent increase in minimum wage. For more information, see the fees page on our website.

Payment is due April 1st. If you know you will not be renewing your membership this year, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing  [email protected]

Login to our website: www.ahstc.com and click on Member Login in the top right corner. Or you can go directly to the Member Splash login page: www.arborheights.membersplash.com.

ONCE YOU’RE LOGGED IN

  • Make sure all family members are on your account and that their information is correct.
    Click the pencil next to the member’s name if you need to edit.

  • Check phone numbers.

  • Upload a face shot of each family member. (Click the camera next to the member’s name).

  • Enter emergency contact information.

TO PAY YOUR DUES

  • At the top of your account is a red bar that will direct you to the payment page.

  • When paying your dues, you will also have the opportunity to buy:

  1. Guest Passes – each family membership receives 20 guest passes and senior memberships receive 10 guest passes (that expire at the end of the season). You can purchase additional passes when you pay your dues or anytime during the season.
  2. Caregiver – You can register your caregiver for $100/season when you pay your dues or anytime during the season.Note: if you use grandparents as caregivers, the fee is $100 for the couple (if applicable). Register one grandparent and notify [email protected] to add the second grandparent.

IMPORTANT!! At the bottom of the payment screen, there is one SMALL button to press to select credit/debit before advancing to the next screen. The button looks like this:

Senior Membership Reminder

As a reminder, family members are eligible to convert to senior members if they meet the eligibility criteria described in the bylaws.

Section 8
Senior Membership

(A) Eligibility

(1) An existing Family Membership may be converted to Senior Membership if the member:

a. Is in good standing,
b. Has been a member of the Club for ten (10) years or more OR the member or his/her spouse is age sixty (60) or older, and
c. Has no children under the age of 15.

(2) Adults age sixty (60) or older without prior Arbor Heights Swim and Tennis Club membership are eligible to apply to the Board for Senior Membership.

(3) Senior memberships will be available on a first come, first service basis, unless further amended by the Board, up to the maximum number authorized under Article II, Section 2(B).

(4) The member and/or spouse ONLY may be eligible to qualify for Senior Membership status. Children, family members and other invitees shall be Guests and must be accompanied by the Senior Member(s) when at the Club.
