Dear Members,

Now that the season is underway, I would like to introduce you to some of the faces you see the most at the pool; our Office Ladies!

Julia — not pictured as she’s currently off on an adventure in Italy! She has been an employee at the arb for 10+ years. Previously a life guard before her move to the office! We will update the picture when she gets home.

Elena — previously one of our lifeguards, Elena has decided to follow in her mother’s footsteps and join the office team. Many members may remember her mom, Kathleen, who served as an office lady for many years!

Ashlee — our newest addition to the office staff. Welcome, Ashlee!

Sara — This is Sara’s second year in the office and we are so happy she is part of the team.

Karla — our longest-serving Arb employee, with more than 20 years of dedicated service in the office. Karla was a member and watched her daughters grow up swimming at the pool. Now her oldest daughter and first granddaughter are members at the arb and her youngest is an Arb employee, too! Thank you, Karla. We are so lucky to have you on the team.

Next time you’re at the pool, please take a moment to thank the office ladies and have a little chat with them.

Youth Swim and Tennis Lesson Registration are open TODAY!

Lessons will run in four two-week sessions, Monday through Friday. Please click the link below for lesson information, schedules, and registration details.

Swim Lessons: Registration will be managed through your Member Splash portal. Simply log in to register.

Tennis Lessons: Registration and scheduling will be managed through Wyn Tennis (similar to adult lessons). You will need to create a Wyn Tennis account before registering.

Dear Members,

Today we honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. We are grateful for their sacrifice and the freedoms they helped protect. Thank you to family members and friends who carry their memory forward with honor and gratitude for their service.

**IMPORTANT SAFETY REMINDERS**

For everyone’s safety, children wearing life jackets must be supervised by an adult age 18 or older within arm’s reach at all times while in the water.

Please ensure life jackets are Coast Guard approved, properly sized, and securely fastened for a safe and comfortable fit.

AHSTC is a smoke free club, vaping or smoking of any kind is prohibited.

Absolutely NO glass on the pool deck.

Any broken glass will result in temporary pool/club closures. Please see office staff or cabana kitchen for alternates dining wear and cups.

Please report any safety concerns to the manager on duty!

May 31st- Adult Lap Notice

Lifeguards will be training during Adult Lap from 8am-1pm. The guards may need to close 1-2 lanes and use part of the dive tank during this time. Thank you for your flexibility while we ensure the proper training of our staff.

The weather is finally looking up! After rain and even hail this past weekend, we’re excited for Thursday when temperatures are expected to reach 74 degrees. Here’s hoping that as our season heats up, the weather does too!

Dear Members,

Thank you so much for a great first weekend back at the Arb! It was wonderful celebrating opening weekend at our Luau and seeing all of our Arb pool moms celebrated for Mother’s Day.

The pool is full, final cleanup and setup are nearly complete, and our amazing staff is ready for a great summer with all of you. Summer is almost here and we are less than a month away from opening! Please see below for important updates.

April

Team Registration is open. Sign up for youth dive, swim, tennis & water polo here.

And welcome back to Head Swim Coach, Chris Veraya. Please be sure to check out the updated teams pages to read more about our coaching staff.

Otters Club Registration is also open. Otters Club has a limited capacity of 30 campers, and over half the slots have already filled. Sign up here before its too late!

May 2 & 3

Clean Up Weekend will be on Saturday, May 2nd from 10:00am-1:00pm and Sunday, May 3rd from 1:00-4:00pm.  If an adult member of your family works a minimum of three hours on either day, your clean up fee ($100 Family/ $50 senior) will be reimbursed.  Please come prepared with gloves, gardening supplies, cleaning supplies, etc.

Opening Day is May 9th! As always, this day is reserved for members only (no guests). More details to come on our Opening Day BBQ.

General Meeting Notes

The Board hosted the General Membership Meeting this past week and appreciated the strong turnout from members. Key updates included:

  • 2026 Budget Approved: The membership approved the proposed budget, which includes a 5% increase in annual dues, following a review of the club’s financial position and planned capital improvements.

  • Capital Improvements: Upcoming work includes pool resurfacing/patching and replacement of swim blocks.

  • Facility Updates: The Board reviewed additional improvements including necessary pool repairs and installation of new security cameras.

  • Tennis Program Revamp: Adult and youth tennis programs will now be led by Wyn Tennis Academy, led by Program Director Caerwyn Evans and Head Pro Siggy Mensel, offering lessons, clinics, and tournaments.

  • Key Dates: Key dates are available on the club calendar. Employment applications are now open, and member dues payments begin March 1.
